MOTEL ROCKS | MATCHING PRINT TREND

I'm absolutely loving the matching print trend at the minute, it reminds me of the way my Mam used to dress me as a child, decked out head-to-toe in wacky prints (see below).

For a while I think it was seen as rather uncool... maybe it still is and i'm just in denial, but I personally think it's super cute! Although I strongly advise against matching your dress, bag, shoes & eyeshadow... I still think that's a step too far in the OTT direction! But these gorgeous little matching top and bottom sets are perfect for the Summer! I purchased this one from Motel Rocks around a month ago when they had a 25% Jubilee discount code... I love a barg! I'm forever searching the Internet for discount codes, as it makes my shopping addiction more acceptable and softens the blow when my monthly Lloyds TSB statement comes through the door! I adore the palm leaf print (which I think looks suspiciously like another type of plant but i'll say no more on that one) and I think the pastel colours compliment it perfectly.

Rita Ora was getting her match ooorrrrn at Radio One's Hackney Weekend...

I can see this being a popular upcoming trend! Although I do think it's quite a daring one, so it might not be for everyone. I love it though and will be investing in some more matching pieces fo sho!

What are your thoughts on this trend?

  1. I don't really think it looks good on Rita but the other examples look wicked. Don't think I could pull it off either though.

  2. Now that you mention it, it DOES suspiciously look like "another type of plant"! To think that I've been wanting to get these palm print pants for a long while... It looks pretty but I'm not so sure now!
