Russian Standard | OOTD

Just a really quick outfit-of-the-day I thought i'd share with you. This is what I wore to work on Monday, I normally dress a lot more casual for work but I had a meeting in Nottingham so I decided to dress a bit more smart than I usually would. It's so cold in Birmingham at the moment, so i've been wearing my favourite Russian-style hat a lot. I got this little beauty from Topshop either last Winter or the one before, I can't quite remember?! It's so soft & furry, and keeps my head extra warm, only issue I have with hats is my curly 'fro always gets flattened when I wear them :( Not a good look when you go indoors and have to take it off! If you're looking for one of these I spotted a very similar one on the Topshop website recently which you can find here. I'm also wearing my new bargainous Jumper from Oasis, I never really look in there when i'm shopping but a recent issue of Look Magazine came with a £10 voucher, so I decided to go in for a browse. Luckily this jumper had another £10 off it, so rather than paying £45 I got it for £25! It would have been rude not to right?

Jacket: Topshop | Jumper: Oasis | Skirt: ASOS | Tights: House of Holland | Boots: Topshop | Bag: Mulberry | Glasses: RayBan

I'm also really sad as my favourite YSL lipstick is almost finished...

Rouge Volupte 108 Mauve Celeste if Santa's reading this! ;)

I hope people don't mind the selfies with my camera/phone in the mirror... i'm struggling with the different settings on my camera, so all my self-timed pictures end up blurry and out of focus. Hoping to get myself a tripod at some point as well, so hopefully that will help!

Oxford OOTD

Prepare yourself for a picture heavy post! :)

I went to Oxford on Saturday to visit my boyfriends sister, as she has recently moved down there. I've only been to Oxford once before back in my second year of Uni, when me and my friend Emily went to visit the Pitt Rivers museum, which is full to the brim of amazing Taxidermy... perfect drawing material! (I'm a true geek at heart!).
I had a lovely day out with my boyfriends family and managed to get some nice pictures along the way. I went for a comfy & casual outfit, as I knew we would be doing quite a bit of walking. I decided to wear my amazing new fluffy jumper from Yayer, which Michael (my boyf) is now calling the 'Elmo jumper'... this doesn't amuse me in the slightest might I add! I would happily wear this jumper every day if I could, I absolutely love it! It's a combination of fluffy comfiness & bright pink tie-dye, which to me makes for one amazing piece of clothing!

Jumper: Yayer | Leather Jacket: Topshop | Glasses: RayBan | Cross Necklace: ASOS | Jeans: American Apparel Easy Jean | Converse: ASOS | Bag: Mulberry Mitzy Tote

My beautiful new rings from Shop Dixi in all their glory...

Jewellery (left to right): Ring 1,2,3,4: Shop Dixi | Large Turquoise Ring: Forever 21 | Above Knuckle Cross Ring: ASOS | Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelets: Thomas Sabo, Pandora & Links of London

I had a lovely day jam packed full of sight-seeing, book stores, afternoon tea, markets, mulled cider, and a delicious beef stew & mash to finish it off! Needless to say my food coma had me snoring the whole way back to Birmingham.

Hope you enjoyed this day-in-the-life style post! :)

Diamond Girl - Nasty Gal Holiday 2012 Collection

Luster Blouse $98 | Iced Sequin Blazer $138 & Matching Shorts $88 | Splash Sequin Skirt $88 | Romy & Michelle Pleated Skirt $82 | Fantasy Faux Fur Coat $168 | Solitaire Skinny Jean $98 | In The Rough Denim Jacket $250 | Solitaire Blouse $78 | Brilliant Sequin Top $118 & In Your Dreams Skirt (Blush) $88

Spending my Friday night drooling over clothes on Nasty Gal is rather depressing, as I can't afford the customs fees... let alone the clothing! Boo-hiss! :( Nasty Gal never fails to impress me though, it is without a doubt (in my opinion) the best online clothing store there is out there at the moment. This collection is everything I want my Winter wardrobe to be - faux fur, pastels & sequins galore! My top picks from the collection would have to be the two-piece 'Iced Sequin' suit and the faux fur furby-esque coat... i'm in love! I'm going to have to go on the hunt for some cheaper UK high-street alternatives to these items for the time being, or perhaps i'll send Santa an email with a link to the website?!

Lorra love,
Love Moschino <3

I made a last minute decision to go out on Saturday night, so this outfit was put together in a matter of minutes whilst attempting to drink my weight in cava. Luckily I had a lovely new shirt to wear, which always makes the outfit choice that bit easier! I ordered this shirt during the ASOS 25% discount last week and having just arrived that morning I was pretty keen to wear it out. I decided to wear it with my trusty American Apparel leggings, JC Lita's and Moschino belt to keep it chic yet simples! I rather enjoy a good mirror pic on a night out, hence the two poser shots below...

Shirt: ASOS Belt: Moschino (a bargain eBay purchase from a few years ago) Leggings: American Apparel Bag: Primark (last year)

I am a big lover of Moschino! It's definitely one of my favourite labels to admire over the internet, as unfortunately i'm not rich enough to adorn myself in it, even if it is supposed to be 'cheap and chic'. My belt is one of the best things I ever bought though, and having had it for a few years it has spiced up many a boring outfit! They always have really quirky, unusual ad campaigns (some of my favourites above) which always grab my attention. I often wonder if adverts in magazines have the same impact they used to, as I do tend to flick straight past the many pages of perfume ads when i'm reading a mag. Having been inspired by the imagery above I decided to have a little bit of fun photoshop myself and came up with this new take on an outfit-of-the-day...

Do ad campaigns still catch your attention or do you flick straight past them in magazines?
